Adult-Strength, Eco-Friendly Materials
We are dedicated to building safe, eco-friendly furniture. Every bed we build is designed with safety in mind.
Our solid wood bed frames are made from American Poplar (or Tulipwood). Poplar is a hardwood; it provides our beds the structural strength necessary to support large adults and rambunctious kids.
Our poplar supplier is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council which promotes environmentally sound management of the world's forests. We use oversize rails and 3 1/4” square corner posts. The frame is secured with dowels, heavy-duty architectural bolts and hidden structural screws to maximize the structural strength and stability of the bed.
We use formaldehyde-free paints and finishes that are Greenguard certified, contain negligible VOCs, and are fully compliant with stringent regulations set by the California Air Resources Board. We apply two coats of paint to our bed frames, and hand sand the bed after each coat is applied.
